Yes, 3.0.9 is showing its age. There will be a new version "real soon
now" but the best thing for right now is to pull a version from the git
repository. We're being fairly conservative about what gets added until
the next release- the only major change may be truncate support for
multi-master replication, which only applies if you are running version
8.4 of Postgres.

Sure, latest is a fairly sane default as well. We should probably update
that wording to make it not so strong.
