You don't understand: My particular case actually crashes perl (and thereby bucardo). "Crash" as in segmentation fault, followed by a  core dump! That should never happen except if there is a bug. Right? 

The issue is  I have bigint array that contains something like {1,2,36,NULL} and that NULL kills it. I don't know enough about perl to explain deeply why, but when I mod DBD::Pg's code (written in C), the problem goes away.
