Each sync has an attribute named "deletemethod" that is either 'delete' or 
'truncate' or 'truncate_cascade'. Delete is the default. If doing a truncate, 
the attempt is wrapped in an eval and will fallback to a delete if the 
truncate (or truncate cascade) fails.
