No, I haven't tried it.

But I think I did all you proposed.
And it was successful - I mean no VAC errors after dropping the table because I deleted quickly from bucardo tables (if you saw from my email).
And complaints are not for the oid of the dropped table.

The fixes I applied for this issue went out in 4.99.8 a week or two back. Have you tried installing that version?
