It looks like it did not get installed. If it is installed
correctly, this command should return a number and not an error:

perl -Mversion -e 'print $version::VERSION

 > Writing Makefile for DBD::Pg

Note that you should still be able to install DBD::Pg without
installing 'version': so try a 'make install' at this point.
However, it is overall better to get version.pm installed.

The git version is far more advanced, and much easier to get installed,
than 3.0.9. A new official version is coming very soon.
