Yes, it should be fairly quick. Perhaps that table doesn't have a 
bucardo_kick trigger? Try a manual kick and see if the changes go through:

bucardo_ctl kick syncname 0

If the logs show no activity, make sure bucardo_delta is getting populated 
from the triggers on the table.
