[Bucardo-general] Starting SWAP replication

Hello,

Can you clafify what would be procedure to set up swap replication. When I add dbs then herds then tables then sync. Bucardo doesnt complain and just everything is going well. When I start it performs a check and says that there is nothing to do in q table.

Strucutre of tables is same on both dbs but one is full and one empty.

When I trigger inserts they got rpelicated and I can see the proper output of a bucardo_ctl status.

It doesnt replicate rows already present in one db even tough setting onetimecopy to 1/2 in this sync.

Should I create another sync 'fullcopy' to bring them back in sync and then only use swap afterwards?

My consideration is if it cant sense that one table is different than other then how can I expect it to be able to replicate after for example one node is down for some time.. Would it look at the tables only inside bucardo DB and see that there was modification on one and nothing on other or compare rows directly?

Question is: Is the fullcopy sync needed everytime when bringing up a node to be triggered manualy (active/inactive additional sync) or this is supposed to be triggered automatically and I am missing some part of the config/db design etc.

Thanks,
Michal
