Perfect.  'validate' uncovered a few tables that were missing their 
primary keys in the DDL (the 'list tables' format is tremendously useful 
here).  Added them, and things are working as expected now.

Now to check that the other direction (multi-master) works as well (and 
see if my little helper script can prove its mettle...).
