You will need two different Bucardo schemas, for starters. Do not
run bucardo upgrade on the v4 version with the v5 script.

No - v4 uses a global bucardo_delta while v5 uses individual bucardo_delta_*
tables, so that won't be an issue. But overall, mixing the two is
not recommended.
