That's a tough question. For the moment, only the 4 series 
is production ready. However, no new development is being 
done on it.

Yes: it is much faster, cleaner, easier to debug, and can 
support many masters. So if your deployment is not right 
around the corner, and you are comfortable using software 
that may have a few rough edges, go with 5.
