You mean how to get a modern version of Bucardo without having it
install an ancient version of Postgres? I don't know if you can
(although apt experts can correct me). But it should be okay for
multiple versions of Postgres to exist on the system - you can ignore
the other, or simply uninstall it once Bucardo is installed.

Bucardo is pretty simple overall, though, so if you encounter
any bumps at all via apt/yum/etc. I always recommend using the
latest tarball.
